Our First Anniversary!

This time last year things we're changing at FleuRich, in a big way! Laurence and the team were about to open the doors to our first ever store front, here in beautiful Kelowna, in the after-mist of a global pandemic, uncertain times with no idea what the next year ahead had in store for us.
We've shed tears; many of joy, some of frustrations, and largely pain because of the rose thorns! We knew it was never going to be an easy ride, yet Laurence and the team have blossomed into the storefront, learning and evolving with each step, every order and all that mother nature threw our way with floods, highway closures and broken supply chains.

That said, we would not of had it any other way! And now we're about to celebrate our 1st Anniversary, we asked Laurence Rich, Owner + Head of Design here at FleuRich Creations to share her thoughts on this years journey so far and her dreams for the future.
If you could give one piece of advice to yourself this time last year, what would it be?
‘‘Don't hesitate! Follow your gut, it's usually right. I tend to overthink things and let things happen on their own. I feel like when I don't think too hard and just do things spontaneously, I always land where I wanted to be in the first place’’

What is the most rewarding aspect of owning a storefront?
‘‘It has to be greeting our customers and hearing how much they love what we do! Social media is great but face to face interaction with our customers, especially our repeat customers, is priceless’’
Kass - Shop Assistant + Photographer
What did you feel was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
‘‘Balancing the retail shop and our wedding season was definitely our biggest challenge this past year. Making time for both and being more strategic with our offerings during wedding season was key. It was still hard to juggle both with a small team, next year it will be smoother because we learned a LOT!’’

So what's in store for Fleurich? Well, firstly we are celebrating our 1st Anniversary at the storefront this weekend, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October, 10am -4pm.
We hope you can join us where you'll experience how to welcome fall into your homes, with pumpkins available to adorn your doorsteps, a bloom bar for you to experience designing your own bouquet and our plant expert on hand to help you bring the outdoors inside for the colder months ahead. Plus you'll be on one the first to shop our sustainable dried flower collection, launching exclusively at the event.
The team have also been working behind the scenes on an insta-worthy floral installation for you all, it's going to be blooming beautiful, even if we do say so ourselves!
