Santa Claus came through for me this Christmas, this lakeside fall elopement got published on Rocky Mountain Bride on boxing day! I took inspiration from the changing colours and the myriad of textures Fall brings for this editorial. With stunning floral arrangements, alongside delicate details, it’s hard to take your eyes away from this lakeside fall elopement shoot. The warm colour palette mixed in with the alluring shapes of the dry grass adds a bold contrast to the background. Above all, this shoot was meant to be moody yet romantic.
Because of the vineyards and orchards that attract thousands of people during the summer months, the Okanagan is a destination for weddings. Another reason people fall in love with Kelowna is the picturesque lake views. Fall in the Okanagan brings the colours from the trees and a sprinkle of snow on the peek of the mountains that surround the lake. While planning this lakeside fall elopement shoot, we wanted to showcase the beauty of the changing season in the Okanagan for couples who wish to wed or elope outside of the busy and warm wedding season.
